Gohan gradually gets used to living in the wasteland, even though he misses his parents. One day, he helps an injured dinosaur who has a branch stuck in its side. Gohan manages to pull it out, then uses a ointment made from plants that his mother uses on him to help heal his wound and the two become friends. Later, Gohan's new friend is attacked by another evil dinosaur! The evil dinosaur soon kills Gohan's friend, mainly because it is still hurt. This makes Gohan cry, Gohan learns the hard lesson of life and death.
