Radditz is the brother of Goku, and The son of Bardock. You don't see much of him except in the beginning of the Saiyan Saga. He comes to Earth in search of his brother who was sent to Earth to conquer it. He uses Goku's weakness of trust to finish the work but is finally overcome by Goku who holds him so Piccolo can use his Special Beam Cannon to kill him. By Goku holding his brother, he ultimately gets killed.
